Finding one's own reasons
We all have reasons for doing what we did. Albeit there are lots of stupid reasons, they're reasons nonetheless. For example, people dump each other all the time. Excuse my stereotyping, but lots of guys dump girls for stupid reasons. It's such a guy reason to dump a girl for *insert stupid reason, it's almost too easy to ask you to do this*.
While they have stupid reasons, I guess I can find my stupid reasons for what happened last year. I feel that being emotionally unstable is a stupid enough reason to give painful blindsiding hookups a try. It's almost as if even liking a person is a stupid enough reason to get with someone, because there are even stupider reasons for liking someone too.
In case you haven't noticed, I have an intolerance for stupidity. I don't go to Judge Judy to berate foolishness, I do it to myself on a daily basis. But I want to know if I have my own reasons for getting more involved with someone, and it's not because other people (even a surprising number of other people) say so.
They can tease and suggest all they want, but when they stop, so do my thoughts. It's almost as if I wish I had the yearning long after my friends have quieted down. It's a weird place to be, and by God it doesn't feel stupid, nor does it feel like settling to spend so much time with a friend I feel is so worth my time.
