I'm in oestrus
I once read in the Daily Bruin, and now see articles popping up on the whole idea that "Women may be genetically predisposed to cheat." We're animals. Haha.
This article popped up early in the Daily Bruin because one of the studies came from UCLA, and it concluded that during the fertile time during a woman's cycle, the woman would be more likely to cheat and be attracted to more attractive men, given that they are not that attracted to their somewhat stable partner. There's also a suggestion that around the fertile time, her partner could get more possessive and be aware of the likelihood.
But here's the real heart of the entry: "Women who are most attractive are most fertile, and they also tend to be the targets of other men to steal them away," Pillsworth said. Sounds like a double whammy for being noticed: Take me now because I'm available like that, and because you want me.
This has little to do with me. But I did notice this pattern back when I had my tomboyish tendencies to shoot hoops and play coed 1-on-1 for the sheer fun of playing itself. I'd be around my rag, and would be asked at the park randomly to play. Of course, I'm tired, bloating and oily at the time, so it didn't make sense. And sometimes I just might let loose regardless of what my mind tells me because being fertile just seems like a better time (I'm not listing specific reasons). So now I notice that, and conclude that we humans, just like baboons and apes, have an oestrus period, advertising to men that we're available for procreation/romp/quickie. My latest proof includes that I was randomly asked to lunch by a classmate recently, and I said yes, even though I have that pervading fear that I could be taken advantage of.
Sometimes, the best advice to give to couples with infertility is just to let the passion take you, because it is our hormones that prime our entire bodies and our minds up for conceiving with preferably a hot guy.
